GREAT DINNERS!

The Dortenzos have no choice but to love hockey! Why? Daddy has played hockey since he was small and still absolutely LOVES to play! The man's whole demeanor changes when he is able to play at least once a week! Some women might be annoyed with a hobby that takes this much time but personally I LOVE to watch my man score goals and love to watch him do what he loves!

We took Mia to her first game on Sunday and usually do dinner before--I am sharing how we have been making these work so smoothly because we have had great "night outs" with our whole family because of this plan!!

1. pick a kid friendly spot
2. pick a place with on online menu (you will see why)
3. have a family meeting to look at the menu at home and PICK (yes pick) what you want before you leave (this goes for mom and dad too)
4. after you are seated and your server comes for your drink order, order your drinks AND food right then

Having your order ready allows the kids to order their own food, makes that time relaxing for all since mom and dad don't have to pick either and we can focus on talking with them since we don't need to look at the menu, and makes your dinners come SOO much quicker! The down time is less making for hardly any opportunity for boredom( i.e. behavior problems)! So there you have it, the Dortenzo strategy for easy dinners out--we love it and we love nights out with our 3 kiddos because of this!!!! Dinner with little people can be done!!! :)
